We at Caldwell Tree Care are proud of the crew we have. We focus on hiring good people and then use training of several kinds to help them become better. With the many years of experience on our staff along with the equipment on our lot, we bring a lot to the job sites we work. Even when they are literally in our own yard!

Recently, the footprint of our business expanded when our owners were able to purchase the property next door. It is a cute little house that needed a lot of attention to bring it back to usable condition – inside and out. While the inside is going to take a bit longer, we had the crew and equipment to tackle the outside rather quickly!

Within a few days of the papers being signed, a crew tackled the largest part of the cleanup, the removal of a big dead tree in the back yard. One of our cranes (we have two!) was called into service and took over the side yard next to the office. The office staff enjoyed being able to see the crew at work for a change!

The support crew for the removal set up nearby, close to the outbuilding on the property. (See a picture later in the story to witness the makeover that building received!)

(Notice the front of the crane in these two pictures? The crane apparatus must be level for safe operation – which sometimes means the front wheels are off the ground to allow for the important stuff at the back to be secure for safe operation.)

Part of the job was removing a large portion of the tree (which is already on the ground in these pictures) – you can see the video of that part here.

After the big removals were done, the crew set to getting the cleanup near the ground done. A fence and some beat up sheds were removed, and a lot of trimming around the house was completed too. Then mulch was spread around in various beds around the house. (Did you know you can request free wood chips from us? The form is available here.)

Once the work around the house itself was complete, the crews moved to the rear of the property. They limbed up the trees along the fence line with our equipment yard – and could do so from both sides of the fence now!

With the trees in back and on the side cleaned up – as well as the sheds and fence gone. A subcontractor started working on cleaning, repairing and painting the garage structure. This building was completed and is being used to allow our Plant Health Care division to have more room to keep the necessary supplies on hand to allow us to continue the high level of service we provide to those clients. (And doesn’t the red “barn” suit the ol’ girl?)

This, in turn, has allowed our Tree Care division to rearrange its equipment in the existing space, and to further expand and organize its equipment!

We at Caldwell Tree Care are looking forward to the opportunities this new property brings to us. When the property on the other side of us was added a couple years ago (where an outbuilding there was renovated to provide indoor training space for our crew), we began to consider hosting an industry training on site. With the addition of this property, and the large field behind it that can provide parking space…..we hope to host an event next Spring! We are always working to improve ourselves and our company – and it will all benefit our customers too!
