Grounds Person
Roswell, GA | Full-Time
The position of Grounds person at Caldwell Tree Care carries the responsibilities of supporting Arborists, Climbers and Crew Leads by providing all ground duties in support of specific job assignments.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Participate in all job site safety briefings weekly
- Utilize all appropriate personal protective equipment
- Assist with the implementation of work zone safety procedures such as the placement of cones and signs and the provision of flagging services
- Properly utilize hand tools associated with arboricultural work
- Safely use and maintain a chainsaw
- Assist in conducting a tree risk assessment prior to working on any tree
- Assist climbers and crew leaders working on the ground and aloft
- Operate a chipper and wood splitter safely and properly
- Assist with implementation of tree felling procedures
Requirements
- Prior experience is preferred, but not required
- Ability to follow oral and written directions
- Possess the ability to work in a team setting
- Possess basic math skills
- Must have excellent verbal communication skills
- Must have excellent customer service skills
Arboriculture Groundsperson
(Paid Internship)

The position of Intern Arboriculture Groundsperson at Caldwell Tree Care carries the responsibilities of supporting Arborists, Climbers and Crew Leads by providing all ground duties in support of specific job assignments. This is a paid Internship.

Plant Health Care Technician
Rowell, GA | Full-time
A Caldwell Tree Care Plant Health Care Technician is responsible for implementing integrated pest management techniques to promote healthy tree and shrubs. The Plant Healthcare Technician uses chemical and cultural control to address issues such as insect and disease pests, soil nutrient deficiencies, or plant injury utilizing a variety of different methods.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Drive specialized spray rigs across the greater Atlanta area
- Perform daily inspections of equipment and vehicles
- Perform tree and shrub treatments using spray, tree injection, and soil injection tools as prescribed by the Arborist
- Perform branch and root pruning according to ANSI standards
- Completing accurate record-keeping and daily reports
- Maintain assigned vehicle and equipment in good working order
- Follow all ANSI and company policies concerning protocol, safety, and core values
Requirements
- Must have a valid State of Georgia driver's license
- Prior experience is preferred, but not required
- Possess or be willing to obtain Pesticide Applicator's License
- Ability to follow oral and written directions
- Ability to work independently or as a team
- Possess basic math skills
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Utilize all appropriate personal protective equipment
- Read, understand, and follow through on all pesticide labels
- Properly utilize hand tools associated with arboricultural work
- Be able to lift 50 lbs
- Be able to work in all types of weather conditions on various types of terrain
Sales Arborist
Roswell, GA | Full-time
The Arborist Sales Representative is responsible for all facets of client management including, but not limited to, targeted marketing campaigns through maintaining and developing new and existing relationships. This position will be responsible for following company protocol as it pertains to the accuracy of billing and estimating jobs sold and will also work directly with crew leaders to ensure the accuracy and quality of the work performed.

Duties & Requirements
- Estimate job costs and provide quotes
- Organize crews, supervise work being performed, and complete jobs to clients satisfaction
- Develop new business by obtaining referrals from clients and networking events
- A degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture or equivalent experience
- Practical experience and knowledge of horticulture and/or arboriculture
- Proven sales record
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
- ISA Certification or ability to obtain it
- A valid Driver's license
Certifications
- Individuals with three years of experience may opt to become Certified Arborists, a designation conferred by the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA).
- Applicants must pass an ISA administered exam, provide documented experience and be re-certified every three years.
